Life has a way of coming at you fast. One minute you are up, the next you are left trying to pick up the pieces. Breakups, divorce, accidents, loss, grief and disappointment are a part of life on earth. The thing that many are still trying to master is how to feel what I feel and keep going.
Ignoring the hurt is not the answer and neither is numbing it. There is a tug of war between feeling what I feel and yet not allowing it to overtake me. In every situation that you face, there is always a constant opportunity to receive help and guidance through to the next day. God sent us a helper in the Holy Spirit to be there to comfort us in our times of need (John 14:26).
When you try and draw strength from anyone or anything outside of God you will end up at a deficit. What does a deficit look like? Overindulgence in one thing or another because you are trying to fill a void. You were created to partner with God in all you do. His strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Partner with God in your healing and you will see a great turnaround.
